Courses for three-five year-olds and mothers are sponsored by the IHM Family Literacy Center, an educational outreach of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Classes include English, Motheread, formative parenting and computer for mothers with a pre-school program for children. These classes run simultaneously.

Certified teachers with many years of experience conduct all classes.

The IHM Family Literacy Center is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a Dollar General Family Literacy Grant for the 2009 – 2010 school year. In addition the Center has been awarded the use of two IBM educational grant programs: Reading Companions and TraduceloAhora. Thanks to the kindness of 4imprint’s one by one® program the IHM Family Literacy Center was able to distribute $500 worth of smoke detectors in the last year.

The staff and students of the IHM Family Literacy Center are grateful for these gifts and remember these donors in prayer.
